Time/Temp Vertigo template

The transition to the 2023 News Graphics package at WJZ called for an audit of the graphics we used outside of our news broadcast. A long-running commercial feature we had was a 5 second sponsored graphic that displayed the current time and temperature. It was outdated by about 2 looks and was in desperate need of an update.

With input from the Group Art Director and Design Director, I designed an After Effects template that could be customized for different day parts or client colors and exported as a video which serves as a background for the Vertigo template. The time/temp text placeholders use scripts written by the Group Engineer to update dynamically and display the current local time and temperature at runtime.
